Everyone Is Welcome
The National Council of Jewish Women, founded in 1895, is a membership organization informed by Jewish values and committed to creating meaningful action at the local and state levels to help those most in need, and provide "tikkun olam" (repairing the world) and justice for all. Together more than 5,000 members and supporters — across nationalities, religions, genders, and backgrounds, work to improve the lives of women, children, and families by advancing social and economic justice through education, advocacy, and community service.

Since Wife Widow Woman's inception in 1976, over 1,000 women have participated in the program. Their feedback consistently affirms the benefits of learning in a supportive environment composed of women who have experienced a loss.
