Meet as needed to develop strategies to fight and raise awareness about human trafficking. You’ll work with project Co-chairs – Louise Levine and Marilen Pitler.
Volunteer to be a bank advisor with one of our partner organizations. No financial experience required–just a desire to help domestic violence survivors move ahead. Meetings are usually once a month in the evenings plus a couple of daytime committee meetings. You’ll work with project Co-chairs – Ilene Bloom-Ellis and Margie Gold.
Work as a school liaison, helping to maintain an emergency clothing closet in an elementary school. Volunteers communicate with school personnel to determine needs, come to the NCJWSTL office and gather items to take back to the school. Each school has at least two liaisons that work as a team. You’ll work with project Co-chairs – Michelle Brooks and Diane Packman.
Volunteers for Project Renewal escort women that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless through various learning sessions, on a shopping trip through The Resale Shop and then for some hair, makeup and manicure pampering. The event is 2 hours on a Sunday afternoon and will occur 4 times per year. Volunteer sign up is for each individual session. You’ll work with project Co-chairs – Joyce Kolker and Amy Gallant.
Volunteers are needed to help sort through incoming donations and to help with customers on the sales floor. Shifts are 2-4 hours long and fall between 10am and 6pm Monday through Friday and 10am and 4pm Saturday.
Volunteers will work with Karla Zabel, Volunteer Manager.
