Home (Not So) Sweet Home – The St Louis racial divide is especially obvious in the area of housing. Intentional practices like redlining, restrictive covenants, segregated public housing and lack of access to FHA financing still echo today. Lack of safe, affordable housing traps disadvantaged families in deteriorating neighborhood without job opportunities, health services, quality education, healthy food or dependable transportation. Dr. Molly Metzger from Washington University will help clarify the causes and possible solutions for this widespread housing crisis.
