Who wants to go outside in this weather without a coat? Kids Community Closet helps kids stay warm to and from school. The project is a natural outgrowth of our successful Back-To-School Store, stocking emergency clothing in a literal “closet” at St. Louis area schools and the Jewish Food Pantry. We opened three closets within the last year: Dewey International Studies Elementary School, Ashland Elementary, and Shaw Visual Performing Arts Elementary. Today, we celebrated the efforts with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Dewey. Thanks to Kids Community Closet leader Michelle Brooks and NCJW VP of Community Service Andrea Newstead for being the power behind the project!
